Today — The Five Pillars

first post! before we get into the scholarships and how to get into college, i want to talk about the “five pillars,” or the five traits you need to succeed. passion, dedication, resilience, adaptability, and self-discipline.

🌟 Passion

when i played basketball, i had a trainer who would always ask me “what is your why?” he would ask me this every time and it taught me how important your why is. it shows how much you TRULY love what you do. you need to have a why that motivates you and pushes you to achieve your goals. without it, you have no reason to accomplish your goals. let me ask you, “why do you want a career in medicine?” or if you’re reading this for getting into college only, “why do you want to go to college?”

🌟 Dedication

this is simple; if this is truly what you want to do, you have to be dedicated to it. this means that no matter what comes your way, you're not going to quit. you WILL keep going.

🌟 Resilience

along your path, you will face many challenges, obstacles, and roadblocks that will try to bring you down. do NOT let them. its a battle between evil and you will win. remember the only reason bad things happen to you is because you are valuable — “thieves don't rob empty houses.”

🌟 Adaptability
